Merrill Frailey  |  Pastor

Serving in ministry for over 20 years, Merrill’s experiences are vast including: Teaching women’s bible studies, leading book studies and workshops for men and women. She speaks at conferences, retreats and corporate events, and facilitates the Sweetly Broken workshop which she wrote in 2007 and is a study in inner healing. She has held youth director positions and also managed the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park, Florida. Merrill has traveled leading Mission Groups state side and abroad. She is part of a program that her church created to help orphans and vulnerable children in Naivasha Kenya called Panua and traveled there the past three summers to serve.  In addition to her role in the church, she is the also the founder of Merrill Frailey Life and Family Coaching. She received her life coaching accreditation from CTA, Coach Training Alliance, and ICF Accredited Institution.  Merrill is more than familiar with balancing a professional career and family, as she is the mother of 5 children ranging from 14-30 years of age and is now a grandmother for the first time.  Merrill would love to meet you, so please call the church office to schedule an appointment.

Craig Willson |  Director of Worship 

Craig Willson joined the staff at CPUMC in August of 2015.  His music ministry calling began in 1998 at Trinity United Methodist Church, while finishing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Central Florida.  While there, he also served in the role of Director of Compassionate Ministries.   Since that time, Mr. Willson has served in a number of churches  in the Central Florida area.  

Wendy Carr  |  Office Administrator

Wendy joined the staff in the midst of Hurricane Irma and hit the ground running, even without power or internet. Wendy graduated from Georgia State University with her BFA in Studio Art and Textiles. After an intense and creative career that included work for Lacoste and Walt Disney, she is excited to be spending more time with her husband Philip and young daughters (who attend the Child Development Center on campus) and be an integral part of the CPUMC team. 

                                              Ben Smith  |  Director of Outreach

Ben and his family have been longtime Floridians and College Park residents for almost a  decade. After a successful career as a Production Planner with Walt Disney World, Ben joined the CPUMC team in the fall of 2017. He and his wife Mollie have two children, one of whom loves to attend the Child Development Center. 

Mitch Herman  |  Assistant Worship Director

Mitch graduated from Full Sail University in 2010 with a degree in music business and is the founder, president and CEO of MMH Entertainment. He loves singing and playing acoustic guitar, both in the worship band and at home.  He and his wife live in Winter Garden where they are enjoying renovating their house.

Morgan Claytor  |  Design Team

Morgan joined the staff in early March of this year as the interim Office Administrator and is so excited to be a part of such a loving community. Morgan’s background is in graphic design. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts and has been running a graphic design studio with her husband, David, since then. She and David are part of Merrill’s sprawling tribe, adding a couple of grandkids to Merrill’s bunch…Millie and Eloise.

MaryAnne Hutcheson Family Ministry Director

MaryAnne runs our middle and high school youth programs as well as she is a teacher at Lake Silver Elementary School, mom to two boys, and an avid photographer, reader and knitter.

 Amy Van Bergen |  Volunteer Outreach Coordinator

After retiring from a local nonprofit and spending a year with her grandchildren up north, Amy began volunteering and helping CPUMC with volunteer programs and congregational care in the fall of 2017. She is the mother of five adult children and three (soon to be four) grandchildren. And you just might see her walking around the neighborhood with her dog Baloo.

Spencer Clayton  |  Children’s Director

Spencer will be a 2018 graduate of Winter Park High School, is a competitive swimmer and heads up College Park United Methodist Church’s sunday school offerings.

Evanne Mines  |  Discipleship

Evanne is in charge of CPUMC’s discipleship efforts. She is a native Floridian,  a healthcare social worker/case manager and she and her husband have two sons, both graduates of Edgewater High School.
